In Autumn 2021, we are talking to residents in Blackpool and The Glen about repair generally, and drawing attention to the organisations below.
Cork Community Bikes is a community bike workshop and cycling organisation. You can get help to repair and maintain your bike at our Fix Your Bike workshop sessions. We also run courses in bike repair, and we’re helping to make reuse and repair an easy and affordable option.
Cork Repair Café holds repair café events in Cork City, where people can help one another repair all sorts of items. If you have a repair skill you can offer, please get in touch.
Cork Zero Waste and Cobh Zero Waste are local volunteer groups that offer support and advice on reducing waste lifestyles, run community events and campaign on related issues.
Deaf Enterprises repairs and refurbishes furniture as a service, as well as selling refurbished furniture. It provides employment, training and work experience to the deaf community in Cork.
Revive Paint rescues pquality paints from local recycling centres. They then filter and remix the paints in Cork and sell them in various colours.
Refills
Shops offering refills in Cork City include Natural Choice and Quay Coop.
In the county, zero waste shops include Earthway in Midleton, Twig in Clonakilty and The Filling Station at various markets.
Cork LETS also has giving and selling events for second hand items, as well as running a community trading scheme for services.

Repair Café event
Sunday 28th November 11am – 3pm at the Lough Community Centre (map)
Held in conjunction with Cork Repair Café
Bring things you want to repair, like clothes, bikes, jewellery, computers, things that need gluing.
We’re happy to talk about other repairs including furniture and electrical items.
We will have tools and repair materials, and friendly volunteers on hand to help. You won’t be able to leave items with us.
