Sad news, and workshop closed until 19th Jan

Last Thursday, Denis Murphy unexpectedly passed away. Denis was a good friend and a huge help to us, his generosity and humour were felt by so many in the community, and he will be sadly missed by a great many people.

Out of respect we will be closing the workshop until our next Saturday session, 19th January from 2pm.

Workshop closed until new year 2019

We won’t be running our DIY bike repair sessions on Saturdays 22nd or 29th December, so we’ll next be open for a public session Saturday 5th Jan 2019.

Bike Week events

Mystery History Tour

13th June 19:00 Bishop Lucey Park

Visit the many islands & distinct towns that came to form Cork city on your bike and hear the story of their history and unique identity from Dr. Darren McAdam-O’Connell. Rendezvous outside Bishop Lucey Park on the Grand Parade at 7pm.

Don’t forget your bike!! But this cycle is also designed to be suitable for cycling on the cokes bikes.

Intro to bike maintenance

17th June 11:00-13:00 Cork Community Bikes workshop

Free session giving an introduction to how to check and fix basic problems with your bike. Please reserve a place, email us: corkcommunitybikes@gmail.com
A full course in basic bike maintenance will take place in following weeks for those interested.

This will be in our workshop, on the right side of the car park of Cork Foyer. You’re welcome to bring a bike, though it’s not needed.

Closed until New Year

We are now closed over the Christmas period, and will be reopening to the public on Saturday 7th January.
