Bike maintenance repair basic course – Tues evenings – Blackpool

70.00

This course will give a solid foundation in bike maintenance, helping you understand how your bike should work, how to avoid and to recognise problems and to carry out adjustments and repairs. There are various ways that looking after your bike better will make cycling more enjoyable and also save you money on repairs.

The course is delivered by an experienced mechanic from Cork Community Bikes. Topics covered include brakes, punctures, parts of the bike, basic and advanced checks, gears, wheels, bearings. This course will be run from our Blackpool workshop as a total of 6 sessions of 1.5 hours each, spread over 6 consecutive Tuesday evenings from 4th April. We will try to give you as much hands-on experience as possible, so having a bike next to you during the course that you can look at and make adjustments to will be important. Tools and bikes to practise on will be provided, though you are welcome to bring your own. Course notes are provided by email.

The cost is 70 Euro per person. There are limited spaces, so email [email protected] to receive more information and to reserve a space.
